Planet Earth on Pause
— AS COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) CRUSADES ACROSS EARTH; IT IS TIME TO REALISE OUR ERRORS, TO FORGE A CLEANER, MORE SUSTAINABLE, ECOCENTRIC FUTURE.
Not since the chaos of the Great World Wars — has mankind faced the level of Global disruption the likes of which we have experienced within the last few weeks…
THE PEOPLE OF EARTH HAVE BEEN PUT ON PAUSE;
And for once –we are not fighting amongst ourselves…
WE ARE LEFT STUNNED— like a Honey Bee streaming into an invisible electromagnetic 5G frequency wave.
This silence is felt in the villages, towns & cities across the world.
As the machines of industry power down.
As the menacing, red, LED of the Terminators eye fades…
And gears of destruction stop turning…
The chimneys of Industry cease poisoning our precious air with carbon monoxide & other nasty toxins.
As the noise of human life dissipates…
Crushed under the tentacles of the Virus.
Humanity is brought to a standstill.
Our — ‘mighty’ — civilization brought to its knees…
WE ARE FORCED TO PAUSE.
And in this silence — it feels like time itself has stopped…
IT IS AN OMEN; THE COSMOS IS GIVING US AN OPPORTUNITY…
We learn that the creatures of Earth flourish when people are forced to retreat.
When the great curtain of toxic fog is lifted.
Birds chatter; their harmonies build into a crescendo of life across the valleys…
Meadows grow thick…
Plants dance…
And flowers bloom…
Without pollution; distant white stars — pierce the black, spectral sky.
Whilst People are forced into hibernation,
The creatures of this world take back their habitats…
THE LUNGS OF THE WORLD TAKE A DEEP, BREATH OF CLEAN AIR…
The tables have turned.
As the Virus now causes us to choke.
In our last gasps for breath…
OUR GREATEST MINDS SCRAMBLE LIKE ANTS MANUFACTURING PLASTIC LUNGS TO KEEP US ALIVE.
PAYBACK IS A BITCH.
SARS-CoV-2 is the Universe’s way of showing us we have been behaving very badly…
Like naughty school children.
We got it wrong & we keep getting it wrong…
Relentlessly pursuing ones & zeros in digital bank accounts.
Always wanting more, bigger, better, faster, more powerful…
What is our money worth — when there is nothing left to enjoy?
No clean air to breathe — without nature to admire, without wildlife to adore…
OUR PLANET IS DYING, AS DOES THE MAGNIFICENT WILDLIFE THAT WERE HERE LONG BEFORE US.
Absorbed by our greed — blinded by our lust for more.
We have lost sight of what really matters & what is most beautiful of all…
LIFE.
The air we breathe.
The water we drink.
The smell of fresh bread & coffee.
The blue skies that drift into purple sunsets.
The Rainbows that we follow…
In our children who laugh & play.
Our pets who prance & dance — tail’s wagging.
IF WE DO NOT CHANGE OUR WAYS…
We deliver ourselves & every other species on Earth;
A Death sentence.
NATURE HAS SILENCED US.
NOW THAT WE ARE ABLE TO HEAR…
WE MUST ACT.
WHILST WE ARE FORCED TO PAUSE.
WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN A CHOICE;
Covid-19 has a silver lining — it has given us a chance to stand back, to re-evaluate — it has given us the gift of perspective…
We only have a few months, maybe weeks before the relentless 24/7 rape of Planet Earth continues –before we fall back into ‘business as usual’…
China has already turned on the switches, moved the gears & powered up their machines of destruction…
The fog of industry that clouded our vision has been lifted for now.
But the Clock is ticking…
And with every tick & every tock.
We edge back to the way things were…
Applaud our medical workers, applaud the services; the manufactures, the pure hearted volunteers & applaud each other — the good people of Earth for helping each another in these difficult times.
The Corporate Balrog of destruction festers — thrashing & scurrying in the molten core of our Planet.
Keeping watch, impatiently waiting for the World to resume its usual business — hoping that once more we will forget…
And continue as his minions — working ourselves to death; 40/50 hour weeks, living our relentless consumerist lives, living day-to-day, making easy choices, in our throw away society — It is what he wants…
Soon enough; — if we do not learn from our mistakes & revert back to habit, revert back to the slow & systematic annihilation of this beautiful Planet.
When the greasy fatbergs of consumerism clunk back into action.
And the concrete chimneys of Industry once more chug out the particles of death that suffocate us.
As we resume our busy lives — zipping about the planet further sowing the seeds of our demise.
The Balrog will again be free…
COVID-19 has shown us a new way of life is possible; a different, better more sustainable way of living;
We don’t need to go on long haul flights to attend business meetings that can be handled easily online.
We are happier & more productive when we are given the freedom to work from home.
Not only is this reducing our carbon footprint, we have more time for our well-being, for the well-being of our families, our friends & our communities.
We learn that we do not need to consume for the sake of consuming…
WE CAN BE RESPONSIBLE.
WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD TOGETHER.
NATURE HAS SILENCED US FOR A REASON…
Life can be different.
We can & we will change for the better.
We can live in harmony with our Planet; a symbiotic relationship like it was with the ancient humans before the Earths last asteroid strike some 13,000 years ago, living & thriving alongside nature — as partners…
We have a chance & the choice to make a difference.
In the words of David Bowie “We can be Heroes”.
As the Guardians of our realm; the protectors of Planet Earth.
Let us unite.
If we stand together.
WE CAN END THE VIOLENT & UNNECESSARY RAPE OF PLANET EARTH.
At this pivotal moment in history;
We have been given this divine choice.
This opportunity;
This responsibility…
Covid-19 has shown us how fragile we are — it has also shown us how ingenious & amazing we are when we pull together.
We are the Angels & we are the Demons…
We can be a force for good & we are unstoppable when we stand united.
The Global outpouring of compassion proves it — & united, we have every resource necessary to undo the damage that we have done;
The Greenhouse Effect.
To cleanse our Oceans of plastic.
To stop Deforestation.
To Protect, not slaughter — the majestic creatures of this World.
It is not too late…
We can forge a healthy, sustainable future for generations to come.
RIGHT NOW, IN THIS MOMENT — WE ARE IN THE SPOTLIGHT & THE UNIVERSE IS WATCHING…
Today as we stand united against the Virus.
There is hope…
Different Nations from across the globe are communicating & collaborating like never before…
NASA & IBM’s Summit Super-Computers channel teraflops of processing power to analyse the pathogen — to find a solution to this plague.
The real solution does not lye with medical science…it starts with you & I.
By being responsible, by making eco-friendly decisions, by being mindful of the environment around you, by saying no to corporations that seek to exploit & plunder our beautiful Earth.
When Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2) has finished with us.
If we stay united — if we can keep helping each other — if the great minds of our World focus their energy to better us.
Then we would have all the resources need to right our wrongs — to undo much of the damage that we have done in the last 200 years…
We must channel our positive energies to find solutions to disarm & decommission nuclear reactors & without question, nuclear weapons.
1986, Chernobyl, Ukraine made real the violent destruction of what happens when nuclear goes wrong — that catastrophe almost irradiated all of Western Europe.
More recently — & what could have altered the Eastern World as we know it; following a major earthquake, a 15-metre tsunami put waste to the Fukushima nuclear reactor in Japan…
The only reason it is economically viable in Western countries is because the Militaries work in unison with energy suppliers — People power will show the Industry that nuclear should become a relic of troubled, past-age.
We should use what we have been given by the Cosmos; harnessing the power of the Sea, the Wind & the fierce Sun…
Resources should be spend creating Bio-recycling plants that take care of waste and provide energy as a by product.
We have every tool & resource that we need to forge a future worth fighting & dying for.
As is now evident — we got lost in the busyness of our super-fast, hyper-active 24/7 lives. Caught up in the daily grind for survival — we forgot just how lucky we are & just how beautifully fragile life on Earth is…
COVID-19 (SARS-COV-2) IS AN OMEN.
A warning that we must change our way of life…
Scared.
Wounded.
Economically broken.
We have been brought to our knees to be reminded that we have been out of control.
HEAR THE ECHOES OF REVOLUTION.
OUR TIME IS NOW.
As we say prayers for those who have lost their lives — do not let history forget their sacrifices…
Reach out.
TAKE MOTHER EARTHS HAND.
WE CAN HARNESS THE SUN.
TAME THE OCEANS.
CAPTURE THE WIND.
If we work with the elements; there is no need for the risk & danger of nuclear fission.
Let the healing of Earth begin…
Grow sustainable crops, relearn sustainable agriculture, compost matters.
Recycle or repurpose everything that you can.
The Wildlife of Earth will thank us, Mother Nature will thank us.
All of our lives will be better for it.
Change is not always easy & it will take time.
But should we embrace it & adapt like the Virus has shown we can.
If we all pull together — voting with our feet & with our minds — then we have will have a future worth fighting for…
