UK Ministers ponder — ‘Get Paid £500 to Get Covid-19 scheme’- A beautifully crafted PR stunt with dark calculated undertones…
The UK Government (much like the former-US Government) will be remembered like the sketch of a parody show for their performance & utter ridiculousness, in relation to the ‘handling’ of financial matters following the brutal economic shockwave that Covid-19 has delivered;
Every Joker, Jester & Clown seems to have been summoned to lead our Western Democracies over the comedic & slapstick shit-show that we have trundled through over the last 4 years…
The Trump saga deserves many a page dedicated to try to attempt to unwrap & understand what happened within that dark period of American history.
Just quite how that prehistoric, plastic haired, dinosaur tyrant of a man managed to get into power; through an orchestrated combination of kickbacks, shady corporate deals & backhanders is a pure mind fuck of its own.
The joke is on us — it is the wealthy — the ‘elite’ — that have the greatest laugh at our expense.
The everyday people of this world who; keep the lights on, who empty the bins, stock the shelves, post the letters, flip the burgers, tend to the sick, who serve us groceries — the hard working citizens of this world are the ones are preyed on upon like cattle & are treated with indignity — it is the every-man who will suffer the consequences of our Governments financial ‘bail-outs’ grants, bounce-back-loans, mismanagement of PPE contracts.
Expect taxes to rise, State pensions to be culled, VAT to increase & all manor of outrageous & borderline criminal ways to drain our private savings.
Printing money; quantitative easing leads to hyper-inflation which means the £10 which buys you a 6-pack, some bread & chocolate today — only buys you the bread tomorrow…
Our Government are writing cheques that they can’t cash — We’ve just not been told yet.
This is where Cryptocurrencies come into the equation & I am all for them;
Decentralised with little State involvement — they represent a financial beacon of hope for the masses — offering the unbanked in many third world countries access to a financial ecosystem not tethered to the hyper-inflated fiat currencies their corrupt policy makers have created.
That said — Sataoshi’s original vision is out the door — Bitcoin will never be the everyday payment global payment system that it was intended to be— instead it has become a store of value — a digital Gold — which is currently being bought up by huge investment conglomerates such as GreyScale & Square.
Crypto’s are the future — in what form & in what way — remains to be seen, what is clear is that Governments are shaken, because Crypto’s mean they have less power & less control over the system.
It has been a demanding, draining week emotionally on the phones this week — I work on the front-line of the financial battlefield — a soldier fighting the financial crisis the citizens of the UK face each day.
I am a financial health worker you could say & I will write more about the situation in the weeks to come — it is both hilarious & disturbing in equal measure…
Luckily though — I get to be one of the good guys --serving up refunds, waivers, friendly debt advice & payment holidays to those who are suffering the brutal reality of the deepest economic downturn in centuries.
& I have drifted way off target & I apologise —you will learn I do this often — ‘it is the way’ with me.
Foreplay is fun though & the topic is grim, so it has been therapeutic as I sit here happy, but worn down by the long working week of financial support that I have provided (by proxy) for one of the UK’s largest retail, banking groups.

Back to the point & the inspiration of this article;
Working & speaking with the everyday people of the UK on a daily basis — I feel that I am in a strong position to speculate in such matters;
The idea to compensate folk for getting Covid19 & may appear all nice, friendly & in the public s best interests, however I suspect there are dark undertones upon further analysis;
People in financial difficulties will tell their bank all manner of stories & porky-pies (lies) for their own financial benefit whether it be to try confuse a Banking agent into making a mistake so they can claim mistreatment & play the system for financial compensation or whether it is simply just down to a lack of financial education — a slack work ethic ingrained by a benefits society where seemingly everybody born after 1990 believes that they are ‘entitled’ to something — when they have contributed very little.
Generation upon generation of families that have never worked — deciding instead to have children & then more children sucking ever harder on the fat nipple of the UK’s welfare system.
If UK Ministers seriously believe that giving away £500 to people who have been infected by Covid-19 will DECREASE the infection rate then they have been smoking way too much crack.
People in very real financial difficulties are desperate & whether it be their fault or not — many will do almost anything to get access to easy money — I deal with it on a daily basis handling calls from the general public on behalf of the Bank.
I heavily suspect that putting a bounty on contracting Covid-19 does nothing but incentivise the impoverished — to further break lock down rules, to stop isolating & to willfully contract the Virus for the immediate financial gain.
When you are on your knees financially –rolling the dice with the Virus will seem like a reasonable risk to take for £500 — If you are used to living skint; when your dinner is a 4 pence packet of plain Asda noodles with desert looking like a slice of white bread rubbed with salad crème — £500 is a lot of money !
Now, I am stereotyping here — but the most vulnerable folk of our societies who have narco and booze afflictions, the most vulnerable, will view a £500 handout akin to winning the lottery & the virus will spread violently faster off the back of it.
If this madcap policy comes into place — the UK’s ‘R’ infection rate is going to double over-night — much like Bitcoin has done throughout the pandemic —& on the flip-side — this scheme is actually a very well thought out sinister economic recovery plan…
If you understand the UK state benefits system you will understand that the majority of claimants are on a financial joyride — milking the state cow for all it’s worth — the Udders are juicy!
It is a complicated mess — the UK benefits system — a bit like a financial scrambled egg;
There are the majority who abuse the system & there are the few who genuinely need it — this mars the honest folk in society who depend on state help from time to time & who actually need it.
Therefore let us speculate, let us float a scenario whereby the state dishes out a cheque for £500 to every person lucky (unlucky) enough to get the Virus within the UK.
People are creatures of habit & so, will break lockdown rules to carry on as they are (we see & hear about this everyday) — the only difference now is that they have been bolstered by £500 which is sat snugly within their wallet.
So what’s likely to happen..?
People being people & being bored of being locked down, will go spend their money at the shops, visiting their friends, they carry-on living their lives with or without Covid-19 & infection rates will rise…
I can’t help but feel the ‘Get paid to Get Covid scheme’ is a ploy — a wicked tactic to remove the impoverished from society…
Much like when Cryptocurrencies projects ‘burn coin’ (an act to destroy a percentage of a token or asset because there is more supply than demand) ‘Burning events’ take the asset/token out of circulation making less available. With less supply (if people belief in it’s worth) there should be increased demand.
To apply this analogy to the UK’s ‘Get Paid to Get Covid19 Scheme’ the ‘coin burn’ isn’t removing digital assets from the market but potentially human lives…
If the people who contribute the least to society, catch the Virus & lose their lives — there are massive monetary gains to be had by way of future State economic savings;
-A reduced number of state sponsored medical & dental prescriptions.
-Less people on Universal living Credit.
-Less people on personal independence plans & disability living allowance,
-Less people in need of Council housing and housing associating rent payouts
-The real jackpot for the Government is that far less people will make it to State pension age —
People living longer is not what our Governments want — it costs them too much, as when we retire — we are past our taxable expiry date, past the point of being useful — no longer paying more into the system than we take out…
The mega-millions (estimated to be up to £470 million) paid out under the ‘£500 Get paid to Get Covid’ scheme would no doubt be seen as a triumph by the mass media — a public relations field day — flying the flag the UK Government ‘caring heart’.
There must be a horde of Sinister Minister’s within the circle of power to conceive such a idea as this — not a bad return on investment (ROI) at all.
£500 per infected person today —could represent a £50,000+ saving per dead person in the long scheme of things…
Rishi Sunak is perhaps the perfect man for the job — it seems we have a Sheep in Wolves clothing running the UK’s economy.
The apparently lunacy of our politicians is perhaps now on consideration not lunacy at all — it seemingly becomes a methodical — a chronological process map designed to eradicate those who struggle — a Master-plan designed to uncouple the economic drain that everyday people have on the State welfare system.
